Every spring the Southern Ontario Mini Club has a convoy for charity.
This year they let local law enforcement know....bad idea!
Apparently they were told by a fellow officer that there would be only one more patrol on the route. However, instead of providing an escort for the convoy, the OPP set up speed traps along the route and even pulled over the entire convoy ( see pic above) and ticketed them for speeding. what is worse is that they called a local TV station ( I believe A-Channel FYI) and made a story saying 11 cars were impounded and their drivers arrested. They even called the Canadian child services on the parents participating in the cruise.
This is just not fair! I mean Come on... ticketing a convoy that is doing something for charity...that is just plain evil! And why would you call child support for speeding! something sounds fishy here! ..Hmmmm
