Re: why I don't blog as much as the others

Many of you may have thought why haven't I blogged as much lately. The reason is that 1) there's not much interesting stuff out there. 2) most of my posts go through the " Tech & Car News Filter (tm)" , which eliminates all the not so important news and only brings the content you want. Consider it as a a way of making the blog more interesting. I may however "tweet" some randomn but not so important news on @asyed2 on twitter. I hope you all understand.

Hawaii installs anti drifting road

That's right in an effort to reduce drifing on oahu's mountains officials are replacing the road surface with a material that make it impossible to skid hence drift. YAY awesome work Oahu hopefully they do this to everywhere else. This should really crack Down on ricers an their japanese crap cans!!!!!!

Mysterious person buys 10 one 77's

So someone ( reportably from
Dubai ) has bought not one but ten Aston Martin one 77. A total of $19 million... OUCH.

All we know is that there are 10 fewer astons left as they are in a limited production run.

Google has announced a new service called google tv. Google tv is a service which connects your tv to the Internet, allowing you to browse the web and ultimately watch videos on your tv. Launching late this year, google tv will come built in in some tv's or you can get a box which hooks up to your existing tv via HDMI. This truly makes me think google wants take over the world!!!!!

Someone in turkey is making the worlds largest car dealer. ( more like a giant car mall...literally). When completed , the "auto mall" will house 400 makes of cars. And as if tht wasn't enough the mall will be fully accesible by car and there will be a racetrack on the roof fro testdrives

Journalist's 14 yr old son crashes Porsche press car while apparently trying to" showoff

The above picture is a result of what happened when a Canadian journalist gave the keys to the press car to his 14 yr old kid. Apparently the 14 yr old asked his dad if he could show his friend the 911 turbo.what happened next " according to the journalist father" was that he started the car and didn't realize the car was in gear and a car in gear, a porsche no less, accelerates "pretty" fast. What we can learn is that if you are going to hand over the keys you may as well make sure the person your giving it to knows about a manual transmisson

The forums have been refreshed and are on a diffrent server. Currently our new server charges us $5 month instead of our old server ( which we did not have full power over) which was $1 a month. Donations will gladly be apreciated to help keep the forums

Gumball

So this year the gumball 3000 came to Toronto and I went

It was an awesome event. One entire area in Toronto ( yorkville) was covered in exotics

And the highlight of the event.... The bugatti veyron.... No this isn't a typo I literally saw the veyron in Toronto

Mini convoy pulled over by the opp

Every spring the Southern Ontario Mini Club has a convoy for charity.
This year they let local law enforcement know....bad idea!
Apparently they were told by a fellow officer that there would be only one more patrol on the route. However, instead of providing an escort for the convoy, the OPP set up speed traps along the route and even pulled over the entire convoy ( see pic above) and ticketed them for speeding. what is worse is that they called a local TV station ( I believe A-Channel FYI) and made a story saying 11 cars were impounded and their drivers arrested. They even called the Canadian child services on the parents participating in the cruise.

This is just not fair! I mean Come on... ticketing a convoy that is doing something for charity...that is just plain evil! And why would you call child support for speeding! something sounds fishy here! ..Hmmmm
